Partnering with GPs, Optometrists and Health Professionals
At Sunnybank Eye Doctors, we value the trust of our referring optometrists, general practitioners, and other healthcare professionals. We aim to make the referral process smooth, efficient and collaborative to ensure your patients receive the highest standard of ophthalmic care.
We provide expert care across the full range of eye health concerns, and we are also able to offer the sub-speciality expertise of each of our doctors, including cataracts, vitreo retinal, oculoplastics, glaucoma, cornea and anterior segment.
How to Refer
We accept referrals via:
Medical Objects (Preferred). This is our preferred method for secure and efficient communication.
Oculo. Search for Sunnybank Eye Doctors or one of our doctors in the Oculo system.
Email. Send referrals to our practice directly (please ensure that patient information is transmitted securely).
Urgent Referrals
We understand that certain conditions may require immediate or urgent attention. If you are referring a patient who may require a priority review, please:
Mark the referral clearly as URGENT
Include brief details about your concern (eg. suspected retinal detachment, acute vision loses, wet AMD)
Call our reception team on 07 3801 7088 to ensure same-day or next available triage.
We will do everything possible to accomodate these cases promptly.
